 For the Church Fathers, Baptism is the new birth in Christ, through which a person is freed from original sin, incorporated into the Body of Christ (the Church), and regenerated by the Holy Spirit. It is the sacrament of faith, the gateway to the other sacraments, and the beginning of the Christian life. 

Para los Padres de la Iglesia, el Bautismo es el nuevo nacimiento en Cristo, mediante el cual el ser humano es liberado del pecado original, incorporado al Cuerpo de Cristo (la Iglesia) y regenerado por el Espíritu Santo. Es el sacramento de la fe, la puerta de los demás sacramentos y el inicio de la vida cristiana.

Schedule an appointment at the Parish Office at least 3 months in advance.
Bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate.

Preparation Class: Second Saturday of the same month at 10:00 AM in the Church.
Parents and godparents must attend. Please arrange childcare.

Baptisms: Last Saturday of every other month at 11:00 AM

Godparents must:

• Be practicing Catholics
• Have received Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation 
• If not registered here, provide a letter of good standing
   

Please confirm correct spelling of names for the Certificates.

Agende una cita en la Oficina Parroquial con 3 meses de anticipación.
Traiga una copia del acta de nacimiento del niño(a).

Clase de preparación: Segundo sábado del mismo mes a las 10:00 AM en la Iglesia.
Padres y padrinos deben asistir. Favor organizar cuidado de niños.

Bautismos: Último sábado de cada mes intermedio a las 11:00 AM

Padrinos deben:

• Ser católicos practicantes 
• Tener Bautismo, Comunión y Confirmación 
• Si no están registrados aquí, presentar carta de buena conducta
   

Confirme bien la ortografía de los nombres para su Certificado.

The Parish Registration Form is available at the Parish Office.

If you are not registered at St. Malachy, you must provide a letter of permission from your home parish authorizing the baptism here.
If you are not registered in any parish, please request this letter from the Catholic Church assigned to your residential area.

A Baptismal Preparation Class certificate is also required.
This class may be taken at any Catholic parish worldwide. We recommend contacting nearby parishes to find the earliest available session. Our parish offers the class on the second Saturday of every other month.

El formulario de registro parroquial está disponible en la Oficina Parroquial.

Si no está registrado en St. Malachy, debe presentar una carta de permiso de su parroquia autorizando que el Bautismo se realice aquí.
Si no está registrado en ninguna parroquia, solicite esta carta en la iglesia asignada a su zona residencial.

También se requiere el certificado de la clase de preparación para el Bautismo.
La clase puede tomarse en cualquier parroquia católica del mundo. Recomendamos contactar parroquias cercanas para encontrar la fecha más próxima. En nuestra parroquia, la clase se ofrece el segundo sábado de cada mes intermedio.

⚠️ Importante: No se aceptan clases en línea.

• Copy of your Baptism and Confirmation certificates 
• A sponsorship letter from your parish stating that you are a practicing Catholic, actively registered, and permitted to serve as a godparent 
• Certificate of Baptismal Preparation Class (may be taken at any Catholic parish)
   

If a sponsor is missing any of the required sacraments, they may serve instead as a Witness of Honor.

If a godparent is not registered in any parish, they may register at St. Malachy and are expected to attend Mass regularly and support the parish for at least six months before the baptism.

• Copia de sus certificados de Bautismo y Confirmación 
• Una carta de su parroquia que confirme que es católico practicante, está registrado activamente y tiene permiso para ser padrino/madrina 
• Certificado de la clase de preparación bautismal (puede tomarse en cualquier parroquia católica)
   

Si un padrino/madrina no ha recibido todos los sacramentos requeridos, podrá participar como Testigo de Honor.

Si el padrino o la madrina no está registrado en ninguna parroquia, puede inscribirse en St. Malachy. Se espera que asista regularmente a Misa y apoye económicamente a la parroquia durante al menos seis meses antes del Bautismo.

Please note: All required documentation must be submitted in person at the Parish Office at least one month prior to the scheduled Baptism date.

Incomplete or late submissions may result in a postponement of the sacrament.
